The FLIR MR55 is an affordable pin-based meter for professionals in moisture remediation, pest control, home or building inspection, and floor installation. It is a high-quality, reliable, and easy-to-use moisture-measurement tool.
Wireless connectivity allows the user to view data on a mobile device from the FLIR Tools® Mobile app and thanks to a built-in library of 11 material groups, users can tune the meter to the appropriate test material and improve measurement accuracy.
This library is easy to access on the FLIR.com website by scanning a QR code on the back of the meter with a mobile device.
The MR55 is a reliable standalone meter—or a useful accessory to pair with a FLIR thermal imager.

FLIR MR55 Pin Moisture Meter Calibration Verification Test:
With the FLIR MR55 switched ON and set to Group 1, touch the measurement pins to the test points labeled ‘T’ on the protective cap (test points ‘1’ in accompanying diagram). The display will read 18% (±2) if the test passes.
Next, touch the measurement pins to the test points labeled ‘B’ on the protective cap (test points ‘2’ in the accompanying diagram). The display will read 26% (±2) if the test passes.
Please return the MR55 for service if either self-test consistently fails.
