FLIR MR08 Hammer and Wall Cavity Probe Combo

The FLIR MR08 Hammer and Wall Cavity Probe Combo is ideal for both hammer probe and wall cavity applications.

The MR08 hammer probe has an additional handle on the bottom to add convenience for angled, horizontal, and inverted hammer-probing needs. The bottom handle can be unscrewed and used as a wall cavity probe to measure the moisture level of insulation within the wall cavity and can also reach the inside face of the exterior wall.

You can also install the impact plate for use with a hammer to punch the extended pins through drywall.

Whether you need to take angled, horizontal, or inverted measurements, the additional handle on the bottom of the hammer probe makes it convenient to angle the unit any which way you need. The rubberized ergonomic grips reduce slippage and make this tool easy to handle.

The bottom handle of the unit can also be unscrewed and used as a wall cavity probe to measure the moisture level of insulation within the wall cavity. It can also reach the inside face of an exterior wall.

The included impact plate allows you to use the unit with a hammer to punch the extended pins through drywall.

The FLIR MR08 comes with four pairs of FLIR’s new insulated pins. Smaller in diameter than traditional pins, these pins require less force to drive them into a surface, which means they cause less damage. Made from sandblasted, hardened-steel with a single-piece design, these pins will not bend and resist breaking or snapping, even with heavy force.

The insulation on the pins extends all the way to the connection to the probe, so even if you drive the pins all the way into the wall cavity, the drywall will not affect the measurement.
