Flir T530 Thermal Imaging Camera Features:
The new Flir T530 Thermal Imaging Camera with it’s 320 x 240 resolution image has become the workhorse of the industrial and mechanical fields, providing the details you need in order to make critical decisions. Users love the rotating optical block for its ability to reach around and into tight locations crowded by components or equipment. The laser guided autofocus ensures that your images are always crisp and clear, while the brightest FLIR touchscreen available means quick changes and no menu diving. The FLIR T530 camera gives you the features and flexibility you need for making informed and safe decisions.
The FLIR T530 has a Screening function suitable for fever detection, 0.5°C (0.9°F) accuracy at 37°C (98.6°F) with reference
With 76,800 pixels covering your target, the FLIR T530 produces an excellent thermal image both on screen and for a report. The 320 x 240 resolution of the T530 is so clear that we often use the imager in thermal-only mode, without any added detail from the visible light camera. Sensitivity is rated at 0.03 °C, giving you the ability to visualize even very tiny temperature differences. This makes for more subtle patterns in the image, with a better understanding of how temperature is changing across a target.
The FLIR T530 infrared camera can view and measure temperatures from -4 to 1200 °F (-20 to 650 °C), with an option to extend the range up to 2200 °F (1200 °C) if needed. The 180° rotating optical block can be aimed straight up to straight down or anywhere in between to achieve the best image, as well as reduce fatigue often associated with pistol grip cameras.
Calibration data is stored in a chip in the lens housing which is read by the camera when attached. While lenses were formerly calibrated to each individual camera, with the FLIR T530 you can change lenses as the need arises, without ever having the downtime of returning your imager for lens calibration.
Lenses can even be swapped between cameras, will full assurance of accurate measurements. FLIR T500 series lenses are available in three fields of view: 14 degree (narrow, telephoto), 24 degree (standard), and 42 degree (wide angle).
MSX and UltraMax
In addition to the thermal camera, the FLIR T530 also includes a built in visible light camera. Each time a thermal image is captured, a visible image is also captured for better documentation and reporting (or just to remind you where you took that image!). The visible camera is also used to create FLIR’s very popular MSX imaging, a combination of the visible and thermal images. MSX looks for contrast in the visible image to locate edges, patterns, and writing. These are then embossed into the thermal image in grayscale, yielding a live or captured image that often feels more natural to the human eye. The T530 is also equipped with UltraMax, FLIR’s super resolution technology that doubles the native resolution through merging 16 separate images taken in quick succession. When downloaded to the included FLIR Tools software, the Ultramax images are stitched together into a true 640 x 480 image (307,200 pixels).
Laser Autofocus and Area
One of the greatest FLIR features included on the T530 is the new laser guided autofocus. Built into the T530 is a laser distance meter, activated by a separate button just above the capture button. The camera uses this distance information to quickly and precisely adjust the focus. The autofocus can be continuously active, or performed on demand. A manual focus is also included for those times when the target area is complex and a particular focus is desired. The laser distance meter also enables the FLIR T530 to calculate surface area. Simply use the touchscreen to draw a box over the image, and the camera will automatically calculate the are in square feet or square meters. You can measure up to three boxes at once, and these measurements are stored with any captured image.
The FLIR T530 thermal camera features the new Dragontrail glass touchscreen, highly resistant to cracking and scratching. The 4 inch screen is larger and brighter, with a wide viewing angle of 160°, allowing clients or coworkers to also view the image. The touchscreen also now supports multi touch gestures as found on tablets and phones. Swipe from the top to access shortcuts, or pinch to zoom in and out. The screen also adjusts the image orientation according to whether the T530 is being used horizontally or vertically.
Image and Video Capture
The removable SD card in the FLIR T530 will store thousands of images and videos, and is easily upgradable if you need more storage. Thermal and visible images are stored together with every capture, along with any measurement data in the image or from connected MeterLink instruments. You can also record thermal video to better understand how temperature changes are taking place over time. Or mount the T530 to a tripod and take time lapse images at a user set interval. Images and videos can be stored in a folder structure of your choosing, according to date, location, job name, etc. Image annotation is easier than ever, with options for text notes, voice notes with the built in microphone, or on screen sketching.
Multiple options are available to connect the FLIR T530 to everything from your phone and tablet, to your computer or a TV, or to other FLIR instruments. Wireless connectivity in the T500 cameras is faster and smoother than ever, with the ability to join a network, or connect the camera and phone directly. You can mirror the camera screen over WiFi, capture images and video to your phone, and transfer images. Built in Bluetooth connects the T530 to a large number of FLIR and Extech MeterLink meters to measure voltage, current, moisture, and more. GPS data is added to each image (can be deactivated) so you never have to wonder where the picture was taken. Video can also be streamed live to FLIR Tools software, or directly to a monitor or TV through the included USB and HDMI cables. FLIR Tools reporting and analysis software for Apple or PC, along with the FLIR Tools Mobile app for iOS and Android are all available for free for you or your clients.
To make the most of the temperature measurement capable of the FLIR T530 camera, you can set up to three spot meters and area boxes on screen, along with automatic hot and cold spot detection. Colour alarms can be set to visualize areas above, below, or between a user set threshold. Colour palette options include all the most popular FLIR palettes, including Iron, Gray, Rainbow, Arctic, Lava, and Rainbow HC. Two programmable buttons make it easy to toggle between frequently used settings, or between image and video capture, or many more available shortcuts.
